🌱 A1 Level (basic questions with was)

1. What is that? → Was ist das?
2. What is your name? → Wie heißt du? (literally: What do you call yourself?)
3. What do you want to eat? → Was möchtest du essen?
4. What time is it? → Wie spät ist es? (common form, but literally: What time is it?)
5. What is in the bag? → Was ist in der Tasche?

🌿 A2 Level (slightly longer sentences with was)

6. What did you buy yesterday? → Was hast du gestern gekauft?
7. I don’t know what he means. → Ich weiß nicht, was er meint.
8. Can you tell me what this word means? → Kannst du mir sagen, was dieses Wort bedeutet?
9. She asked me what I wanted. → Sie hat mich gefragt, was ich wollte.
